An occasional noise to come out of Brett's mouth is what is known as the Pterodactyl Hiccup, a gaseous release so dramatic that it is accompanied by a terrible screeching sound, its pitch and intensity reminiscent of early pterosaurs. Such "eruptions" occur usually when Brett has been eating odd quantities of food, such that a vacuum is created in his digestive tract, or whenever he drinks Dr. Pepper.
Incidents
- In another famous brush with death in the E-cho, Brett's hiccups became so violent and frenzied that it threw Jeremy, Kevin and Terry into convulsions of laughter while they were driving to Andy's.
- A recent episode after getting Japanese food nearly derailed Brett and Terry's plan to study in Odegaard, from where this article was first penned.
Statistics
- In 2005, roughly four people almost died of asphyxiation due to Brett's Pterodactyl Hiccups.
