You walk along like nothing is happening, and eventually realize that the giant has walked off, like it's finished its objective.
Unfortunately, the next day you figure out that alien had to receive a... receiver device from that guy he was fighting, and he nukes Metropolis with it. Of course, you're Superman, so you're fine, but nobody else is.
You feel like a cheeseburger but the nearest Burger Joint is nuked into the ground.
Fry some dead cows for hamburgers.
