Editing GO BACK INTO THE ALLEY TO THINK

You step back into the alley to sort things out. There's got to be some way to figure out who you are. 

You walk back under the fire escape where you woke up. You look up. There's a piece of clothing hanging from the bottom step. It's a scarf. Could be a clue. It's just out of reach, though. You look around for something to stand on. There's an old crate against the opposite wall.

As you pick up the crate, you notice a large metal door swing open about 20 feet down the alley. Two men step outside and look in your direction. One of the men is huge. He's wearing a suit and carrying a briefcase. The other man is older. His greying hair is slicked back and he's wearing large, thick glasses.

"Ah, there you are, James," says the older one. "We've been looking for you. We thought you were dead, but then you were gone just a moment ago... Have you come back for more?"

The big one shakes his head and smiles menacingly.

"James, my friend, you should have gotten the hell out of here. But I suppose you want to finish this..."

You struggle to think of something to say.

"I'm not sure what you're talking about," you say.

"Sure," the old one says. "Stanley here will remind you."

The big one takes two quick strides toward you and tackles you to the ground before you can think. He pins you to the ground between his large legs and pummels you with a heavy blow to the temple.
