[edit] Biography
Gladius was born in Ainor. He was born to a loving family and it had a normal life. His parents were very spiritual and so was Gladius. His parents were part of the church and studied there until they were 20. When his parents finished they became part of the church and meet each other. Later they were marriage and had three children, one who is in the Ainor army, another studying in the church like their parents, and then Gladius; he was edging towards going into the army but he was not fully convinced to join the army.
Gladius then took the time to go and become a freelancing mercenary. As he traveled he met people and knew people who were from Ainor traveling and looking for jobs. Gladius was luckily he was a man that finding job was an easy task.
One day Gladius was walking towards Ainor to meet with his family again, suddenly he was approached by a man that was wearing gold and was tanned to a brownish color. From what Gladius knew he was a Lequallian. Those were the only people with that kind of tan. The man then stood by him and the he looked a bit suspicious, so in case Gladius put his left hand on his lance.
The Lequallian man then told him of a place where people go and train. The Lequallian said that it was for people not well balance in the art of their weapon of choice. Gladius was a bit intrigued by this and ask the man where it was, however the man only said, “It is on the border of yin and yang.”
The lancer pondered on this for a moment and wondered what he meant by the quote. Although with his logical thinking he figured out the answer to what the Lequallian spoke of and Gladius then repeated what the man said, “It is on the border of yin and yang” As he said this he smiled and finished the quote as best he could, “What yin is, it the country Illyria and what yang is, the country Ainor.” He then smiled and walked to border. As he did, he found the place where the Lequallian told where it would be.
The lancer then went to the place and was greeted with open arms from the group. He then stayed their for three years training himself with his lance and become only attached to the weapon he held for so long. Then he felt as he master the lance enough to create his own techniques. However before he left the place, he was told by the leaders to follow them to a room. As he went into the room he noticed beautiful crafted weapons all around the room. He looked at the leaders with confusion but they said,
“As people leave this place we give them a weapon that suite how long they have trained and how hard they have worked. You have trained as well as you could and I give you this lance. The leader snapped and a small boy brought a lance to him. It was beautifully made, the leader then said, “The lance is called Aischylos, take care of it, and this lance will become an extension of you.”
The dragoon then bowed and left the place; throughout his travels he created his own techniques with his lance. He created every single attack with his own will and it amazing people who he shows this to. Although he asked if anyone wants to learn his techniques, nobody could master the last five moves he made. After another year of training he received a tip that their was a place in Lequall that was made for people like Gladius, people who wanted to learn new moves and teach at the same time. So the dragoon went to this place. When he reached it he met with the leader and was able to join in the ranks. Then as the years passed he was promoted to Fargil and Gladius was pleased. Although this did not change him, he still had more to learn and more to teach and awaited someone who could master all of the techniques that he created.

[edit] Stances
• Hermes’ Stance
This stance is used for thrusting, Hiro spread his legs out, about 2 feet from each other. The Dragoon then bends his knees and holds the lance, with his left hand, about a few inches from the end of the weapon. Then Hiro extends his right arm at to where the Mithril spear head connects with the wooden hilt.
• Zeus’ Stance
This stance is used for attacks that start with using the blunt end of the lance. Hiro again spread his legs, but this time his legs are closer together. Hiro puts the lance over his head and on his neck having his right hand on the blunt side and the left hand on the steel side. So when he attacks he hit the lance with his left hand so that it revolves and hits the opponent with the blunt end. Then he spins the lance so that he can use the spear head for the kill.
• Ares’ Stance-
[edit] Techniques
• Apollo’s Prophesy
A very simple technique that is used with the Hermes Stance, Hiro thrusts the lance at the chest of the opponent, then Hiro sweeps the legs of the opponent and then when the opponent is falling Hiro thrusts his lance into the enemies head.
• Cerberus’ Slash
The next attack is a bit harder to execute. Hiro first gets into a Hermes stance. When he attacks; he thrusts one time. Then he quickly slashes his lance down diagonally right to left, then up diagonally left to right. straight down from the tip of the head all the way down to the ground.
• Flash of Hermes
A very quick deceptive attack, the Hermes’ stance is used for this attack also. He gets into position and charges the opponent. As Hiro charges he thrusts his lance at the head of the opponent; however, he stops a second before the lance connects. He then turn and sidesteps to the either the left or right. At that moment he again thrust but this time he tries to connect with at the enemy’s neck.
