Born [[Darko Peric]], the owner and administrator of Speakeasy. Although Peric claims to live in downtown Toronto, Ontario, he actually lives in nearby Hamilton. He is of Balkan-Roma descent. There are plans to create a fan website with "Darko Peric" in the domain name, which will include a collection of all of Peric's self-described "laser-like" Internet insights.

Speakeasy was temporarily down for a month after Peric was supposedly shot to death by NATO soldiers on a trip back to Croatia. However, Peric was again observed operating Speakeasy within 30 days of this rumored incident.
 
The man is also a well known jeans and cigarette smuggler to Croatian and Canadian authorities. Niccolo doesn't like Slovenians either, every time he tries to cross the border they call him cigan (i.e. gypsy).
