All spells take 0 MP except when used with Index, which randomly selects spells three times and then casts them (The spells are randomly chosen before the unit selects where to cast each individual one). Each book has a set of spells - they can have multiple spells on a single level to make up for the lack of higher levels. Each book also can have a Reaction spell that can be used as a "Counter" of sorts.

Job Origin Backgound

Each book has a set of spells - they can have multiple spells on a single level to make up for the lack of higher levels. Each book also can have a Reaction spell that can be used as a "Counter" of sorts.
