She's the one you see
Visible Markings: Pierced ears – two in her left earlobe and one on her right.
Not readily visible Markings: Belly button piercing.
Appearance: Bailey is a chameleon. She might be demure looking but she’s able to pull off edgy and glamorous looks, depending on the nature of the event and what it calls for. Most of the time, she keeps a neutral (not stoic) expression on her face – hey, it’s hard work having to emote all the time, and she just wants a break from all that.

Her blazer is always left unbuttoned with the sleeves pushed to her elbows and she had the length of her skirt altered – if you want it short, do it right and with style, she says – and it now ends fashionably (and acceptably) short a little above her knees. With regards to accessories, she sports a chain (the pendant is hidden by her tops) and three rings – two on her right and one on her left hand. Occasionally, she colours a small star on the skin between her left thumb and forefinger just for fun. Whatever the look, you can bet that she’s comfortable in her skin.

What you wish you knew
Favourite Color/Food/Activity!/Subject: Black/Baileys Irish Cream/Shooting, dancing and shoe art/English.
Least Favourite Color/Food/Activity!/Subject: Yellow/Sea Cucumber/being bored/Science
Other Likes: Her two rifles (which she didn’t bring into the school), push*, Xedge, DIY fashion shoots, Gum, art, White wine, dark chocolate, Haruki Murakami, Dave McKean, David Mack, Audrey Kawasaki, Strong beats, R&B, rock music, urban chic, clubbing (once in awhile), taking random shots with her nifty camera.
Other Dislikes: Drugs, Posers, margaritas, people who think they know everything about her because of her previous work, people calling her “Bourne” like she was James Bond, opera, people asking what happened to her “tattoo”, TVB dramas, people forcing their opinions/decisions on her, nail art.
Languages Known: English (fluent), Portugese (fluent), Cantonese (fluent), Chinese (fluent), Japanese (mediocre).

Personality: Bailey’s a quiet cool cat of sorts. She doesn’t speak much and prefers to express herself in nonverbal mediums, for example, her dressing and dancing. This quiet self-assurance is often mistaken for shyness and when she speaks, people are constantly surprised at the forceful quality to her low, alto voice.

Bailey’s quite aggressive and doesn’t believe in the passive aggressive way of doing things. If you want something, then you damn well do something about it. This feeds into her need to excel in what she does and when things don’t go her way, she’s persistent in finding a way around things.

When it comes to her temper, Bailey doesn’t get angry, she gets even. She’ll seethe for awhile then invest her energy into nursing the grudge and waiting. She might want to shoot your fucking head off but she believes that what goes around comes around and sooner or later, karma is going to bite you in the ass. When that happens, you can be sure Bailey will be there savouring the moment.

The things that make her
Birth Location: Hong Kong
Family: Father (Bourne Lei Li), Mother (Brisa Ling Chan), older sister (Bellatrix Mei Li)
Why Second Heaven?: It was the next decent school her parents found acceptable. Also, she did her own research and wanted to attend due to its sizeable Eurasian population.

History: Bailey is one of the horde of Eurasians currently storming Second Heaven and for that, she’s somewhat glad. That means she won’t stick out as sorely as she did back home. Though most bloodlines have been watered down, she’s mainly Chinese with the some Portugese and Japanese blood in her. Hey, it’s not her fault her ancestors were so into interracial love. She sometimes wishes she wasn’t such a mutt but what can one do?

Born into old money, she was raised in a quiet neighbourhood and was schooled in an international school. When she was growing up, her parents had little time for her and she quickly learnt how to amuse herself. As a young girl, she took up competitive shooting, first in trap and later, skeet. Shooting was a very serious affair for her, and Bailey threw herself into the sport wholeheartedly. It was an outlet for her to channel her anger and despondency at living in what seemed like an unloving home. When she wasn’t shooting, she could be found pursuing her other interests, mainly dancing and hanging with her crew push* in the underground scene.

push* was a liberating experience for Bailey – there she went by the pseudonym Asagiri Bourne and she felt free from the seriousness at school and the lack of compassion at home. The group was moderately sized and it provided a sense of family for Bailey. Due to its members’ varied interests, it seemed to permeate different areas of the underground scene. Though Bailey was never one of the principal personalities, she was well known for her modeling, fashion design and shoe-art work she did with Xedge, a magazine devoted to showcasing the latest progressive trends and news in the eponymous subculture. During her stint as a model, she was also recognizable by her signature look: a small star she sported on the left side of her neck, where the pulse could be felt. It was drawn on for all her photo-shoots, but people seemed to think it was a real tattoo.

However, all that soon came to an end. A few years later, her parents decided they had enough of Hong Kong and wanted to relocate to That Country. Selfishly, they didn’t consider Bailey’s feelings regarding the decision, and Bailey was forced to bid goodbye to her life in Hong Kong. The timing was off, and she enrolled in SH halfway through Year 2. Bailey’s never held this decision against her parents, knowing that that’s just how they are. Still, it’s sometimes hard for her to cope and she compensates for this by throwing herself into her work.
