Appearance
For a Chinese Guy, there is no question that Tai is one tall individual. His background in sports and other hobbies secures him a slightly muscular build to accompany his height. The young man’s hair, laser straight and naturally black although he doesn’t mind to change it from time to time, is of fair length reaching down to his neck on the rear. Sometimes he may bother to gel it back as to keep it out of the way (before a soccer game or concert, perhaps) but half of the time he just lets it hang around.
History
Hailing from the largely developed Special Administrative Region of Hong Kong, Tai’s father and brother are both successful and established engineers, one of which working for the MTR and the other for the Chinese Government. Even from very early on, pressure was placed upon the child to graduate from some college abroad in Engineering just like his father had and his brother would later; as such, the family placed much emphasis on Tai’s schoolwork, especially the maths and sciences. Although Tai naturally was gifted with intelligence, he struggled against the expectations the family had placed upon him.
Seeing this in their son, the parents gave in to his interests and instead tried to push him into musical instruments, sports, martial arts and a variety of other activities. Although thankful for the slight change in pace, Tai’s heart was not in most of these programs. More than anything else, he wanted to explore the whole of Hong Kong extensively with his own eyes. After a while though, the number of times he’d seen the sights of the Chinese Harbor was long lost to the infinities and uncountables.
Filled with desire to see the sights of the rest of the world, having been so fully exposed to his current one, Tai took a year off to look into studying abroad somewhere else, working towards scholarships and keeping his options for schools open until he came upon Second Heaven. Deciding that the country-esque region surrounding the high school, vastly different from the cityscape of HK, was somewhere he wanted to spend his time for a while, that was where he applied.
Personality
More than anything else, Tai is a calm individual. He has his share of emotions just as everyone else does, and may be prone to raising his voice to call out over a crowd, but for the most part he just accepts the things that come his way and flows with them calmly. Let us not mistake this sort of behavior as having the patience of a saint though, because he does not; there is just a very wide margin in his mind between annoyed and rageful. When becoming annoyed, he more often shows it with small off hand sarcastic remarks and snide comments about the person more than outright yelling at them. The problem with this though is that he has his fun by making these comments jokingly about a lot of people, so it’s hard to tell exactly when you’ve gone too far.
He prefers to meet with people on a one on one basis. In this setting, he is sure that he can hear all the words of the person he’s speaking with and the person he’s speaking with will hear everything he has to say as well. In a group, he falls back to the side lines a little bit in the activity and would rather follow than direct, sometimes worrying that his words won’t be heard or will be outright ignored.

Trivia
- Although Tai plays the Oboe and has been doing so for a number of years, he doesn't really like the instrument too much. He considers it to sound a little bit goofy even though he isn't bad at it.
- Tai trained in Martial Arts for a number of years and is skilled in the practice. He hates to play into the stereotype that all Chinese people know Kung Fu though, so he either acts naive on the subject or says that he quit quickly. On some mornings before classes, you might see the Hong Kong native walking around in search of a private place to keep himself sharp.
