Swords of merit are awarded to people who do more than their fair share to make and keep RuneWiki a good place to be. Although only Admins can create them, they can be awarded to anyone, by anyone - but they must have a valid reason i.e. you can't give them to all your friends, just because they're your friends. And you can't award them to yourself either.
