Crafting
Leather
The best way to begin crafting is to make leather items. To make leather items: 1)Get cowhide(s) 2)Take cowhides to a tanner. THE ONLY ITEM THAT USES HARD LEATHER IS HARD LEATHER BODY! Unless you are making those, make soft! These are located in alkharid, canafis, the crafting guild and one other spot that escapes me... 3)Use a needle on the leather while you have thread in your inventory. These can e purchased at a crafting store in Alkharid or stolen on Ape Atoll from the crafting stall. 4)Choose which item you want to make. I suggest using the "make 10" option.

Pottery
Another Good way to start and level up crafting is pottery. The best place to make pottery is Varrock/Barbarian Village. Hers how it goes: 1)Get Clay. You can mine clay in varrock's western mine. 2)Use a container(jug, bucket) filled with water on the clay to make it "soft" clay. 3)Use the soft clay on a pottery wheel. These are located in The Barbarian Village. When you have finished shaping all of your clay, use it on a potters oven which is located in the same house as the potter wheels.

Gem Cutting
Gen cutting is one of the simplest crafting options, howver the ingredients are harder to come by. To get a gem, just use a chisel on the gem. Some member gems like opal can cumble when you cut them, that isnt the goal! Below is a table of all the gems that you can cut.
