Race Changes (PHB)

Dragonborn

Split into three types:

Chromatic

  • Breath weapons: Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, Poison
  • +2 STR, +2 CON
  • Skill Bonuses: +2 Intimidate, +2 Endurance

Metallic

  • Breath weapons: Cold, Fire, Lightning
  • +2 STR, +2 CHA
  • Skill Bonuses: +2 Diplomacy, +2 History

Gem

  • Breath weapons: Psychic, Fire, Cold, Force
  • +2 INT, +2 CHA
  • Skill Bonuses: +2 Bluff, +2 Arcana

Dwarf

(No changes)

Eladrin

  • Change the name from Eladrin to High Elf.
  • Fey origin no longer applies.
  • Fey Step > Astral Step.

Elf

  • Fey origin no longer applies

Half-elf

  • +2 DEX, +2 CHA

Halfling

  • No halflings exist in Reydala. See Gnome (land) for a replacement.

Human

Shifters

(No Changes)

Tiefling

  • No Diablo horns, yeesh.

Race Changes (PHB2)

Deva

  • None of that blue skin nonsense. Outward appearance are like Tieflings, can look close to their supernatural or mortal race or something between
  • Still called Aasimars.

New Races

Gnome (Land)

  • +2 CON, +2 DEX
  • Otherwise, as PHB Halfling.

Gnome (Sea)

  • +2 DEX, +2 INT

Wild Elf

Wild Elf
Originating from the jungle nation of Banato, these agile jungle hunters are at home even in the harshest of environments.

Average Height: 5'6" to 6'2"
Average Weight: 140-180 lbs.

Ability Scores: +2 STR, +2 DEX
Size: Medium
Speed: 6 Squares
Vision: Low-light

Languages: Elven (Wild), Wilden
Skill Bonuses: +2 Endurance, +2 Athletics
Toxin Resilience: You have resistance to poison damage equal to 5 + one-half your level.
Banato Instincts: You gain a +1 racial bonus to your Reflex defense.
Guerrilla Warfare: When in difficult terrain or behind cover, gain a +2 racial bonus to all defenses.
Hidden by the Enemy: Enemies provide you with cover.
  • +2 DEX, +2 STR
  • Skill Bonuses: +2 Endurance, +2 Athletics
  • Racial Defenses: +1 to Fortitude defense

Ice Elf

  • +2 INT, +2 STR
