Lesser Deity

Symbol: Down-Pointing Silver Blade

Alignment: Lawful Good

Portfolio: War, Crusade

Worshippers: Good Armies, Militaristic Societies

Cleric Alignments: LG, NG, LN

Domains: Glory, War, Strength

Favored Weapon: Greatsword

The eldest son of Dizal, Regial inherited his father's good intentions coupled with a powerful ambition and shortened patience. Regial looks upon the world and sees evil everywhere, and thinks that something must be done to stop it. Not content to just keep the forces of evil contained like his father, Regial wants to completely rid them from this world. "An idle hero is a useless one" is a saying he would readily ascribe to. His critics (The strongest his brother, Hald) point repeatedly at his arrogance, recklessness, and gullibility. Yet, thanks to the focus on the battle, many fear the might of the followers of Regial and their bravery is reknowned throughout the world. For this reason, many clerics of Regial share levels in Fighter, Paladin, or Barbarian.

Regial always appears in a full suit of incredibly ornate platemail crafted from pure platinum and carrying a silver Greatsword, both rumored to be forged by the Goddess Fianna. He often appears with a mount, witnesses reporting fully barded Warhorses, Pegasai, even a Dragon on one occaision. On the rare occaision he has appeared without his helm, it is reported that he resembles an impossibly perfect human in his early 20s, with flowing blonde hair and an air of righteousness about him.

Dizal aggrees with Regial more than any of his other sons, though he agrees with Hald that he is far too reckless and that this will spell his downfall someday. Dizal has thus tried to do everything he can to reign Regial in, or at least to Keep him occupied out of harms way.

Dogma:

Worshippers of Regial make it a point to always be active in the fight against evil, so bravery and prowess are paramount. Punishment is just, but Mercy is allowed in the face of a truly repenting foe. Regial wishes to completely subdue the forces of evil, and will not suffer an evil event to pass if they have knowledge of it. Followers of Regial note the strength of combined might and seek to ally with those who have similar causes, but are not opposed to going the route alone if that is the only option.
