Holly and Unicorn horn:
As holly symbolizes combat, defense and a “look but don’t touch” beauty, and the Unicorn possesses the same qualities, this combination makes for a very integrated, reliable and strong wand. The horn of a Unicorn is usually better for more active forms of protection, in the vein of “The best defense is a strong offense” than Unicorn hair. It is especially good for defense against the Dark Arts, but tends to produce unreliable results when used for destructive or coercive charms. This wand tends to pick an owner who’s brave and pure of heart, but sometimes a bit too good-hearted and honest for his/her own good.
Personality
Tybalt Raynard, a seventh year Gryffindor and half-blood, is pretty damn lame an okay sort of guy. He's the embodiment of everything Gryffindor-- fiercely loyal, brave, and stubborn. Not to mention that 'stupid' streak most Gryffs have. While he's not the most witty or insulting of people (really, he finds fighting pointless), he tends to not back down from arguements. It usually makes him look like an idiot... but whatever.
Ty, as he prefers to be called, is extremely close to his mother. Not having a father figure while growing up led to this fact, something he doesn't mind at all. He doesn't have much of a relationship with his father, and despite what he puts up front, Ty basically hates his father, and wants nothing to do with him.
History
Born to a Muggle mother and wizard father (who were never married), Tybalt never had the best relationship with his father, preferring the company of his mother, as she was the one who raised him. His parents separated when he was young when his father went off to marry into a Pureblood family in order to win his ‘honor’ back, leaving Tybalt with his mother. Tybalt never minded, though, since he enjoyed his mother’s kindness, quirkiness, and odd sense of humour. While he respects his father and wants to spend more time with him, he doesn’t fret over it, and just lives life as normally as a young wizard possibly can.
He's captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team at school, friends with Jul Agate, dating Maggie Downey, and loathes Slytherins.
Physical Description
Tybalt is tall, but most certainly not to be called lanky. Though he is slightly muscular, there are definitely others that are built sturdier than he is. He stands at a total of six feet and weighs in around 170 lbs depending on the day. His hair is a dark shade of brown and he has hazel eyes that have the slightest flecks of green in them. He’s a bit of a pretty boy too, but he doesn’t really pay that much attention to his looks. All in all, Tybalt is a pretty good-lookin' guy.
Also? Ty has freckles to the hoo-hah whenever he even just steps out into the sun. Rather than really put on a decent tan, he freckles as his skin darkens. It's really annoying to him.
