Danielle Cole
Danielle Cole is a seventh year Gryffindor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Danielle works well with all animals and Transfiguration comes naturally although she derives no pleasure from the subject. She also enjoys flying a great deal and is the back-up Gryffindor Seeker. Danielle isn't horrible at any particular subject as is proved by her passing grades on all her OWLs. Her greatest academic weakness is Charms which she struggles to maintain an A. Most of the time she simply attempts to pass the class and doesn't care whether she ends up with an A or an O.
Danielle often feels like she doesn't belong with her Gryffindor housemates. She's more reserved most of her housemates, but she isn't a bookworm either. She tends to barricade herself against others and while she makes acquaintenes easily, she has problems making very close friends. She knows she could do so much more with her natural talents, but doesn't feel like putting in the effort. Her emotions can be quite inconsistant which confuses people. She ranges from bitter and withdrawn to trying to overcorrect her previous behaviour by being really friendly. She's really confused and struggles to come to terms with everything in her life. Danielle is suberb at both lying and projecting an outward calm. She does care for her friends and yearns to get closer to people. Danielle was sorted into Gryffindor for a reason; she may not seem brave or feel brave, but she managed to get through some very hard times.
Danielle is utterly apathetic. Additionally, she’s a compulsive liar and not about cheating off her friends when possible. She lies about her family situation, her boyfriend, her sexuality, her monetary situation, and her blood. A lot of the time she feels like she doesn’t get along well with her housemates because she’s more reserved and quiet than most Gryffindors. Her lies distance her from others and she often seems aloof. She doesn’t have a lot of close friends, just many people she can hang out with and call friends.
Danielle’s past if full of a lot of crushed dreams. She wanted to be an Animagus for a very long time but was disappointed when she realized this wasn’t feasible. She tried out for the Quidditch team twice but failed to secure a spot. Her mother didn’t tell her father about her magical past, and when Danielle started showing magical signs (which could be very violent) her father was uneasy. When Danielle was accepted to Hogwarts her mother was forced to tell her father. They argued, and during the summer of her 3rd-4th year they divorced. Her mother eventually won custody rights, but Danielle still sees her father over the winter holidays. During the last Christmas holidays, Danielle came back as a boy and her father completely flipped out. Angry, Danielle stayed with her mother and promised to never see her father again. Right now she lives in a two bedroom apartment in Wales with her mother. Her mother is struggling to provide for them and Danielle dodesn't see her a lot. Her sister is an adopted Muggle and off attending University.
Although she’s bisexual, Danielle lies to her classmates and pretends she’s straight. Even though she knows that different orientations are more accepted she’s still unsure and hiding. Danielle has also informed her classmates that her father is a pureblood and that her parents are still together.

Relationships
Mr. Whiskers is Danielle's kitty. He's a siamese. Danielle bought him during the summer of her fifth-sixth year. She adores him. Anyone or thing that hurts the cat can expect his/her/its life-expectancy to dramatically decline.
Jojo Jenkins is one of Danielle's closest friends. Perhaps this can be attributed to his laidback nature and ability to deal with everything she throws at him. He's one of very few people aware of all her lies.
Von Courtlandt has gone through a lot with Danielle. The pair met through Jojo during their fifth year. On Valentine's Day that year they went out and grew very attached. However, two months later the two had a massive fight wherein Danielle completely mucked up explaining her lies to Von. They continued to viciously snipe at each other for two years. Until very recently (February 3rd), being in the same room as both of them was potentially dangerous. As their mutual friend, Jojo was pulled in the middle. However, in February they actually managed to listen to each other and communicate.
Nicolette Edmunds was Danielle's girlfriend during her 6th year. They mutually broke things off as Danielle wasn't thrilled to have their public and they were just better friends. They stayed friends. In February, Danielle and Nic ended up kissing in the bathroom and now they're... still friends, possibly with kissing benefits. They're not entirely sure.
Alex Departie. Why does Danielle spend so much time with him? Why does Danielle spend ANY time with him? She's not really sure. But he intrigues her and she's a bit of a masochist.
[Nicodemus Florentine]] Danielle thinks that Nico is a dork and all-around weird. She thinks he's fake. Nico responds to her opinions about him with pining. He's convinced she's secretly in love with him. Danielle spends large amounts of time avoiding him. This is made difficult as he is Jojo's friend and in many of her classes.
Georgiana Pyke is, in Danielle's opinion, a lesbian-faking-straight. After they snogged while drunk, Danielle became convinced that Georgie was just repressed. She enjoys tormenting Georgie by teasing, flirting, and occasionally snogging her.
James Dorminson III was Danielle's rebound from Von. He was very inattentive but Danielle didn't really care. She dated him to annoy Von. Soon after she started feeling bad about using him, James broke up with her. She learned this was because although she'd never told James about her blood heritage he had found out anyway. Naturally, she wasn't particularly torn up about this. But when James turned up at Hogwarts it set Danielle on the edge and wondering if he would "blow her cover."
Plot
Danielle's character is primarilly POPULARITY motivated. This means that she works for the view of others. Most of her actions are in response to people's thoughts about her. Her lies are often spawned from this source. But as she works through her lies she grows more accustomed to her life and herself.
Her future is shifty. She doesn't get along at all with her father and her mother is also not a wonderful role model. In earlier times, Danielle had always looked forward to moving out at the end of her seventh year. As the end of the year approached, however, she realized this would require getting a job and many other things that are difficult to acquire. She's at a loss as to what to do.
Eventually, Danielle will be forced to stop lying and everything will come out. She'll have to come to terms with her father and muggle side. At the end of the year, unlike her classmates, Danielle will unsuccesfully try to make it as a witch. After a year or so she'll merge into the Muggle society where she'll feel more comfortable. Through the course of time, she'll become a veterinarian.
Danielle's place in the war is that of most people: insignificant. She's simply trying to survive life, let alone everything else.
