Matthew gave up his spot on the team the following year and though he loves the sport, he hasn't really played it since.

Matthew Barton

Matthew Barton is the father of Ashleigh Barton and Maible Gallagher though the girls aren't aware that they are related.

Matthew is a fun loving, caring individual. He got along with most everyone and there was rarely a time that you couldn't find him smiling. He managed to make decent grades but that was due to the determination of his Ravenclaw best friend, Benjamin Allen.
