Samantha Jones
Born into a family of Purebloods, Samantha always had a mixed upbringing. Her mother (much to the dismay of her side of the family) and father (and his side of the family) were open to Muggles and their way of life. The rest of her mother's family (including a cousin that was her age) were always traditonal in their beleifs. They, of course, believed they were superior to anyone who was not a Pureblood, something Sam disagreed(ands till does) strongly with. She pretends to go along with them most of the time, however, to keep out of trouble.
In school, her best subjects are Charms and Transfiguration, though her Charms skills are the better of the two. She's always experimenting and attempting to find new charms that she's able to do and use. Potions, however, she's absolutely horrid at (though, with a lot of studying and sleep sacrifice, she managed to get into the N.E.W.T. level class). Sam's also terrible at flying, due to a fear of heights.
Upon arriving at Hogwarts she was sorted into Ravenclaw. While she is definitely the sort to seek things out and learn about them (for no real reason most of the time), and can usually be spotted in the common room reading, she certainly has a need for adventure and excitement. Also, unlike most Ravenclaws, she doesn't think a lot of things out before doing them, instead goes more or less based on emotions.
In her sixth (and current) year, she was made a Prefect (and is predicting the DOOM of Hogwarts as we speak) and is excited to be chosen. After graduation, she wants to be an Auror.
