The Dominion of British Columbia is a country located in the northwestern part of North America, extending along the Pacific Ocean coast between the [Western Sea]] and the Beaufort Sea.
The capital city is Victoria, at the southern tip of Vancouver Island. The country is bordered to the northwest by Alaska, to the northeast by Nunavut and Denendeh, and to the southwest by Canada.
British Columbia is a former colony of the United Kingdom. It was constituted of two colonies, British Columbia (itself composed of the colonies of New Caledonia, Vancouver Island, and Stikine) and the Yukon Territory.
