Dell has recently announced its plans to go carbon neutral in 2008. The company are looking to zero out their carbon emissions through a number of initiatives, such as offering businesses recycling of their old computers, operating the “Plant a Tree for Me” program, using bio fuels on logistics vehicles and offsetting through renewable energy sources.

Dell executives say the effort will focus mainly on power consumption at Dell owned and leased buildings around the world. The corporation have said there priority is to minimise total energy consumption and offsets will be used as a last resort in the most responsible way possible.
