Fujitsu services has announced that it will be investing £44 million to turn an old warehouse into an eco friendly data centre. The green technology that will be incorporated into the design, such as an intelligent cooling system and variable speed fans will allow for a saving equivalent of 10,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year. In addition to this, the fact that the data centre is being built on a brownfield site further minimises the environmental impact.
