A. W. Patterson House (1912), 1605 Pearl St. Dr. Patterson, an early pioneer who came to the area in 1852, was a medical doctor, practicing in Eugene from 1863 to 1897 when he retired. He was elected to represent Lane Co. in the Territorial Legislature in 1854 and served in the Senate in 1870-74, where he was instrumental in establishing the University of Oregon. Also known as the Patterson-Stratton House (Louis Stratton was the architect/builder). Added to National Register in 1992.
