The carriage takes you to Shael in only a day. You feel oddly used by the Countess, and a bit upset that she offered no pleasure in return. At least your father will never hear of the event.
You step from the carriage, trying to put it all behind you and focusing on the task at hand. There is much to be done in routing out whatever traitor might conspire against your Father's kingdom.
