Crossbill

Crossbill is a scarce bird in London, most often seen when there are national influxes from the continent. It occasionally breeds following these irruptions.

This is a list of all known sightings:

• 26th July: Brent Res, 15 flew west at 09.30
• 25th July: Pitshanger Allotments, Ealing, 3 west at 09.40
• 24 July: Broxbourne Woods, 1 at west end of Cowheath Wood at 1015
