I am a keen 13 year old birder living smack on the Surrey/London border. I go birding in London, Sussex and Kent, and I am becoming increasingly interested in the birding, which surprisingly isn't bad at all, within a 5 mile radius of me. As well as birding I am keen on photography, almost all the time of birds. I have been interested in birds since I was 7 and have been seriously birding for the last 2 or 3 years, lately its been becoming something of an obsession.
My local patch is Nonsuch Park in Cheam [1] and I have seen Lesser-spotted Woodpecker and a long-staying Hobby there. I also visit Banstead Downs daily after school, which gets some good birds. My best London birds are Sociable Plover, Penduline Tit, Black Redstart and Dartford Warbler (all in one day at Rainham Marshes), other than that I saw the Erith Squacco Heron and have seen Black-necked and Slavonian Grebes at Staines Reservoirs.
My website is [2] my blog is [3] and my local patch blog is [4].
