- Walthamstow Marshes: Stone Curlew in horse field immediately north of riding centre until 09.45 at least (when I left) - all details and photos at http://www.stokenewingtonbirds.blogspot.com. Also Northern Wheatear, Lesser Whitethroat, 12 House Martins & 5 Swifts (Mark Pearson). 1 Greenshank, flyover heading south, at 1145hrs. (Paul Cook). SC gone at 1230 (DC).

- Dagenham Chase LNR: Osprey between 2.30- 2.35pm battling against strong winds. This is the 1st confirmed record at the site. It was also seen at Rainham Marshes RSPB by Howard Vaughan et al for 15 mins. Also Juv Wood Sandpiper until 5.40pm at least, 1 Green Sandpiper, 1 Greenshank, 1 Shoveler, 3 Teal, 3 Ruddy Duck 2M 1F, 1 Willow Warbler and a Hobby on 3 occasions. (Vince Halley-Frame ).

- Walthamstow Res: 178 Tufted Duck on No.5 res. Peregrine (prob ad. M.) sat on pylon at bottom of No.2 res. (Paul Whiteman)
- Rainham Marshes RSPB: Spoonbill, also 2 juvenile Marsh Harriers flew through (Birdguides).
- East India Dock Basin: at least one pair of Sand Martin confirmed as having bred in drainage hole (Nick Tanner per DMc).

- Walthamstow Marshes: c50 Goldfinches, 4 Reed Buntings & 10 Linnets in one flock (growing by the day presently), 7 Common Whitethroats, 2 Blackcaps, c35 House Martins, 2 Common Terns, c200 Swifts; re: resourceful Sand Martins - two (possibly three) pairs successfully bred in drainage pipes on the canal by the southern bridge (Mark Pearson).
