  • Rainham Marshes RSPB: juvenile Red-backed Shrike still at western end of seawall just east of rubbish tip (Birdguides)
  • Queen Elizabeth II Res: juv Osprey (colour-ringed) present 0630-0830 at least. Photo's on SBC website. Also Oystercatcher, 11 Dunlin, 8 Ringed Plover & 7 Yellow Wags (Dave Harris)
  • Wormwood Scrubs: 3 Little Egret low heading north, 1 Hobby, c4 Whinchat, c5 Meadow Pipit & c700 Rose-ringed Parakeet coming out of roost. (David Lindo & Frank Clark)
  • Alexandra Park: Spotted Flycatcher, Willow Warbler, 2 Whitethroat, 3 Blackcap Cricket Scrub, 4 Ring-necked Parakeet over 8am (Andrew Gardener, Bob Watts, Stuart Harrington, James Arquette).

  • Brent Reservoir: Autumn Bird Count 64 species including Snipe, 2 Common Sands, 30 Swifts, 5 Reed Warblers, 3 Lesser Whitethroats, 2 Whitethroats, 5 Blackcaps, 2 Willow Warblers, 20 Chiffchaffs & a Spot Fly (Brent Birders)
  • Alexandra Park: 2 Common Swifts, 4 Swallows, 1 Meadow Pipit south, Whinchat, 2 Lesser Whitethroats, juv Common Whitethroat, 3 Blackcaps, 2 Willow Warblers, Chiffchaff, Spotted Flycatcher and juv Linnet all in cricket scrub area, Hobby behind reservoir, plus unidentified small parakeet sp at the new pond at 0720 only (Dominic Mitchell, Andrew Gardener).
  • Rainham RSPB: Red-Backed Shrike still, also Turtle Dove in cordite,pair of Bullfinch, 4 Winchats, 5+ Yellow Wag, 2 Lesser Whitethroat, Curlew, 3 Common Sand, c10 Common Terns, 3 Hobby. (Paul Hawkins, Shaun Harvey) also 1 Wood Sandpiper, 1 Green Sandpiper.
  • Walthamstow Reservoirs (N). 6 Little Egrets, at least 12 Common Sandpipers, and a blue and white Budgerigar with starling flock near pylons next to Lee.(Quentin Given)
  • Trent Park Area: 5(3 males, 2 females) Mandarin, Lower Lake; 1 ad female Sparrowhawk; 2 ad(m,f) Hobby, together, perched in Sweet Chestnut; 4 Swift, together, over Williams Wood; 3 Green Woodpecker; 2 Great Spotted Woodpecker; 1 juv Skylark, stubble field at Vicarage Farm; 4 Yellow Wagtail, together, maize crop, Parkside Farm; 5+ Swallow; 5 House Martin; 2 Whinchat,(1 Vicarage Farm, 1 Parkside Farm); 1 Lesser Whitethroat; 1 Spotted Flycatcher, allotments; c30 Linnet,at Parkside Farm; 1 male Yellowhammer (Robert Callf).
  • South Norwood Lake: 2 Mute Swan, 1 Grey Heron, single Black-headed Gull, 4 Tufted Duck, 5 Ring-necked Parakeet,2 Chiffchaff, Goldfinch, Long-tailed Tit, Greenfinch,1 Great Spotted Woodpecker,2 Collard Dove, 2 Goldcrest,(John Watson Gavin Hawgood)
  • Regents Park: 2 Whinchats, 3 Grey Wagtails, Kingfisher, 6 Willow Warblers, 3 Chiffchaffs, 5 Blackcaps, 8 Egyptian Geese (Tony Duckett).
  • Aldenham CP: 6 Yellow Wagtails. 50+ Swallows. 1 Spotted Flycatcher. 1 Hobby. 1 Mandarin. 1 Ruddy Duck. 5 Shoveler. 4 Gadwall. (Steve Blake)
  • Dagenham Chase LNR: 1 Imm Common Redstart, 2 Whinchat, (1 on island in the middle of the Slack !),1 Common Whitethroat (singing intermittently), 2 Lesser Whitethroats,3 Common Swifts, 2 Yellow Wagtails South at 3.04pm,2 Common Sandpipers, 1 Green Sandpiper and 1 Hobby. (Vince Halley-Frame).
  • Cornmill Meadows: A trio of freshwater sandpipers, Green (4), Common (1) and Wood (1) along with 6 Snipe and a juvenile Water Rail feeding in front of the Wake hide. A Curlew flew over Bowyers Water earlier in the day. (Mike Oakland)
