Shirogane Masume

Shirogane Masume (白金ますめ) came into Kokoro at the very beginning, but there's barely anything known about her besides her psychotic ways and her tendency to take things the wrong way. She was always her authoress' main characters, although she doesn't come in very often. This character has left and returned many times.

Masume never really made it into the full Kokoro community. She's basically just "that annoying kid who comes here to torment us", but her future father, Shirogane Ryou, has always tried to connect with her, and Plum thinks she's fun.
Her first appearance was when she had disguised herself as a 11-year-old girl (she was 5; right now she's 8) to spy on everyone with her sister Kisa (who in fact did not disguise herself and came right out and told them who she was). Masume was later exposed by Gamu, who had come to catch the two twins in the first place. After being sent back, she eventually returned, escaping Happy Acres. She occasionally leaves for her own reasons, and sometimes plans to never come back, but at times she does return.
Lately she's been trying to stop her usual "insane" behavior, but everybody is still suspicious of her, which makes it a little difficult for her to stay focused. When treated badly or like she's still insane, she tends to get a little edgy; then she lashes out, and to her dismay, no one ever thinks it's their fault. Masume is a bit strange, though she tries to be normal... tries.

Masume's your average lunatic. She will be happy one moment, then sad the next, then angry. Her basic personality isn't really known to anyone, considering how much she changes. The most solid it seems to be is a angry little love-hating girl who hates it when she doesn't get her way. She's basically bratty.

Masume has never really had a "love life". Near the first year of the series she had liked a few people, but since about the middle of the series she's liked Bob Pushkaboomda, of all people and still does. Yet we all know how that would turn out, now don't we? (Well, most of us do. But I mean really, even people who don't know her would pity whoever she ended up with.)
