Kokoro means 'heart' in Japanese. It's a fitting name for the roleplay, since the game focuses more on character relationships than battles and action sequences. When written in Japanese, most authoresses use katakana to reference the fact that Kokoro is a borrowed Japanese word in an English-speaking game... or simply because katakana is the easiest of the three written forms of Japanese to master.
Either way, Kokoro is a word with a powerful meaning.
