Life was somewhat peaceful after that, until the day the Chimera Anima attacked the mansion. Liz was actually thrown out of the building due to an explosion and a little shove on Shou's part. She was eventually found and rushed to the hospital, where her burns were treated. However, as she began to realize all that had happened, Liz fell into a severe state of shock and depression, too afraid that Ryou might be dead as well. Though Liz did suffer illness, her amnesia was actually faked. The fire was something she didn't want to remember.

One of the doctors, Dr. Zachary Andrews, recognized Elizabeth some years later and phoned Shirogane Ryou about it. Initially, Ryou believed this whole thing was a horrible joke, but finally went to see for himself, where he was reunited with her. (Aside from some nerve damage in her lower back, where she has no feeling, Liz has pretty much returned to normal.)

The two later discovered (thanks to Max) that the Beaumont Flower Shoppe had been obtained by a person who bore an eerie resemblance to Jishou. When they visited the shop, they found none other than James Beaumont who was suffering from amnesia. He was able to recognize Elizabeth fairly quickly during his journey to recovery.

While Elizabeth has been cooking and cleaning within Cafe Mew Mew, as of Valentines Day 2007 she has been residing with her husband at his apartment where Kyr and Shuugo are frequent visitors. Recently she met a young man at the hospital who incorrectly believed she was the princess of the Isle of Circadia. The general decision of the cafe crowd was that this guy was mad, however, Elizabeth actually flew with him to the island. Apparently the so-called princess has been missing for a year and cannot be found. Liz agreed to stand in for the princess during an important annual function while her court continued searching for her, however these attempts failed, the function ended, and the folks allowed Liz to go home where her angry sister (whom she begged to replace her during her absense) awaited her.

Liz is generally a caring individual. She takes care of people when they get hurt, and will scold them if they are rude or doing something dangerous. She is also extremely stubborn, and can be quite scary when angered. Because of Jishou's carefree attitude and tendency to pull pranks on people, Liz tends to argue with her husband more frequently than she would like to, claiming that he won't listen because he never takes things seriously. Most people might not realize it, but she actually relies on Shou a lot, though the full depth of her attachment to him remains somewhat unspoken.

Liz is the type of person who tries to put the needs of others ahead of her own. She's usually smiling, and an excellent listener when the cafe residents need someone to talk to. She does have one pet peeve, however, and that is when people give her nicknames without permission, particularly "Lizzy", as that was the name given to her by her late grandfather and she wishes to honor his memory by not allowing anyone else to call her by it. (In addition, she never cared for that name.) She usually asks people to call her Liz, as it is shorter and easier to pronounce, especially for all of her friends and family who are Japanese.

Though she disapproves of pranks, Liz is a romantic at heart and possesses an adventurous streak (which usually ends her up in the middle of nowhere).

History

Before Kokoro

Elizabeth was born in America. Her maternal grandparents owned ClearMount Orchard in the New York countryside, and she'd often help out there along with her sister, Dahlila, and their older cousin Trent. Her father was a businessman while her mother stayed at home with the children. She was especially close to her older sibling who would constantly push Elizabeth to "aim big" and seek out the best that life had to offer her. However, Liz never wanted the stardom that Dahlila sought. Liz was a daydreamer who looked for adventure in the world around her. The brook could be a door to another world or the barn could be an auditorium full of people waiting for her to perform a solo number.

Liz's love of flowers came very young when she spent a day at her grandfather's workplace. The Beaumont Flower Shoppe had been a present to his late wife, and after walking Liz around the place, she was instantly enchanted. She took special interest in roses, which had been her grandmother's favorite flowers.

In high school Elizabeth began working at the flower shop with her best friend Kotoko after school. Here she was also introduced to the new Japanese exchange student, when he was brought in by Kotoko's boyfriend, Max Mizuhara, to buy flowers for his relatives.

Though Liz initially thought Shirogane Jishou was a spoiled rich kid with an affinity for trouble, her affection for the red-haired boy quickly grew, and following a series of infamous pranks known as Operation Black Roses, the two gradually became friends, and began dating sometime later - though Liz was often too stubborn to express the full extent of her feelings for him.

Liz was very distraught as her high school years came to a close, finding an engagement ring in a bouquet of roses, yet no Jishou (he had gone back to Japan to ask permission to marry her). She eventually decided to pull her own prank in order to get him back for his disappearance. The two did marry in the end and had a son, Ryou, after Jishou finished college.

Life was somewhat peaceful after that. Things were taken at a relatively slow pace until the day the Chimera Anima attacked the mansion.

Kokoro Days

One of the doctors, Dr. Zachary Andrews, recognized Elizabeth some years later and phoned Shirogane Ryou about it. Initially, Ryou believed this whole thing was a horrible joke, but finally went to see for himself, where he was reunited with her. (Aside from some nerve damage in her lower back, where she has no feeling, Liz has pretty much been returned to normal.)

While Elizabeth has been cooking and cleaning within Cafe Mew Mew, as of Valentines Day 2007 she has been residing with her husband at his apartment. Generally she works the flower shoppe by day (Ryou teleports here there), and she visits the cafe in the evenings, sometimes even switching into a cafe uniform to wait on customers.

She generally keeps her wants to herself, although she has made an effort to help her son with his family troubles.
