Daichi began showing off his robotics skills at [[Cafe Mew Mew]] much to [[Shinga Shikari]]'s dismay (they were typically female robots). He made his first male robot after his Robo-Ichi got destroyed and Ari warned him about his second robo-maid. He was also enlisted by Shirogane Ryou to help locate and study the aliens, since the civil war on the alien planet has made its way to Earth. Furthermore, Ryou placed Daichi in charge of Cafe Mew Mew. The problem with that is that Daichi is ignorant about most foods, and so he had to be taught to identify and make them by both Gamu and Ryou. Apparently [[Takaishi Sora]]'s mother is also looking to meet him and discuss restaurant management. Daichi has yet to reveal whether he's okay with all of this or not.

He later participated in one of Sora's April Fool's Day pranks in which he was to pretend that he was the older boy's boyfriend. When Daichi explained about his sister's condition, Sora told him that there might be a way to fix that and thus reveals to him the existence of mages and the posibility that magic could heal her.
