Julien Cartier is a high school literature professor who happens to be confined to a wheelchair. Julien was severely burned as a child, and his right leg couldn't grow properly. He is able to walk short distances with support.
Julien has found love with fellow teacher Jack Dent. The two share a love of Cary Grant, though admittedly, Jack turned Julien on to the obsession.
