1. Answer Machine -
I made this one after listening to Corenlius' fantasma, you know how the first song is Mic Check? I thought more songs should just about the everyday/unimpressive things we do.
2. The Tubster
I think this was the first song I made this? I had the idea from the Nirvana song 'Drain you' - you know the part where it breaks down but comes back ? Well I wanted a song to do that tho this is a very bizarre song.
3. Walking Forward
The idea of walking forward/looking backward - I just wanted to mess around with quiet/loud dynamics a bit more!
4. NEGATIVE NEIN (Einsturzende Neubauten cover)
I listened to the first two einstur albums a LOT while I was making this. Until recently, I had only heard Halber Mensch (I assumed that was the best) and although the first two or even three albums don't even really have songs there's something about them, it's so anti-music in a way. Just screaming and weird dark sounds. I connect with that a lot when done in such a cool way.
I hear their newer stuff is even more poppy so I dunno what to make of that, I love those first two.
5. Mr. Little
This is the beginning of the household sampling on the album, I sample my kettle! Pretty hard to comment on this aside from that.
6. Return To The House of Crazy
I made the beat from opening and closing a cupboard in my house, and then running it through some effects. Going back to the house of crazy with that melody as well as sampling the pitchcrofters song - get me out of this damn house!
7. 3 Day Monk -
ah the first ballad on here! This is about the idea of being a monk for 3 days or just trying hard at things but giving up easily.
8. Kowai No -
I think i sampled most everything in my kitchen for this.
9. Burning House
I think I just heard that quote about rats fleeing a burning house and decided, that had to be in a song somewhere. I sometimes think of this as the house of crazy burning down.
10. The Eyes of a Dreamer (Charles Manson cover) - my neg nein cover was very faithful to the original, but this one takes weird liberties and sounds nothing like the original. The back beat of the song is me picking up and dropping the toilet seat put run through effects.
11. Mada - I had that melody - ' I saw him again, I saw him again and I saw him again' really stuck in my head. It could have been a pop song but instead it's uh, this mess!
12. Mass of Humanity - I think this one was like all these people and you hear some birds and wanna get away (perhaps even become a bird) and fly away!
13. Free Falling -I wanted to do a bit more of an ambitious longer closer like the last lp, the idea like in Bill and Ted of falling falling falling. Or like in Super Mario 64 in the cloud levels where you jump down and fall into the endless white of the clouds....ah..
