===Notes===

-
* A plundering order can only be made if there are merchant ships in the attack.

-
* Army units can only be placed on warships (5 per Large Warship and 2 per Small Warship).

-
* If the island is clicked on in the map, or while viewing another player's islands the, "To Here" button can be pressed which will automatically have the island's coordinates in correct place in the harbour page.

===Tactics===

-
* Don't just send a small force - even if the Island is undefended, you may still lose a ship.

-
:For example, my force of 6 Small Warships, and 2 Small Merchant Ships (complete with 12 Stonethrowers on the Warships) suffered a loss of 1 Small Warship and one Stonethrower (I don't know how the odd one made it back - I guess he swam) against an owned, but completely undefended Island. I came away with 400 units of booty, but that didn't cover the losses.

-
* Experienced players suggest the best force to send to plunder an island is one with a ration of <x>:<x>:<x>:<x> of Large Warships : Large Merchant Ships : Stonethrowers : Spearfighters - apparently due to the maths used, this minimizes any chance of losses. For undefended islands an X value of 2 should work.

How to take over an inhabited island

An inhabited island is one owned by a player. For this you must have a large army and then attack the isle. You need to destroy its Main House to lvl 1, and then keep attacking it until its ruler quits the game or the isle been tsunamied. In the .com version, you cannot colonize another player's island if they only control that one. You can take islands from other players if they control at least two. To do so, send your coloship along with LWSs and a army to colonize it.
