The American Family Association or AFA is a conservative, christian non-profit organization founded in 1977 by Donald Wildmon as the National Federation for Decency. The AFA is headquartered in Tupelo, Mississippi, and claims that it represents and stands for "traditional family values", focusing primarily on the influence of television and other media — including pornography — on society.The AFA regularly announces boycotts against companies or corporations that they insist promote 'indecency'; such companies have included Disney and Abercrombie & Fitch.
