Welcome to the Elia Family Project. In conjunction with the Elia Family Reunion of 2001, which was a great success, the Elia Family Project was designed to help keep the Elia family as tightly knit as it was when Maria and Nicola first immigrated to the United States from Sicily. The website celebrates the 8 families descended from Maria and Nicola.

Did You Know? The Elia family has seen an increase of 15 family members since the 2007 reunion. Nine children, 5 girls and 4 boys, including two sets of twins were born. There were 6 marriages. We lost 4 members, including the last two spouses of two of the original eight, Aunt Dorothy and Aunt Katie. As of 2010 there are 180 living members of the Elia family.
