Leah is an empath, a form of psychic. She can see general emotions and feelings radiating from others (and VERY blatant surface thoughts, which generally have to be projected) As well, she can 'heal' the injuries of others, but due to the process of equivalent exchange she receives most of these wounds herself. However, she also has an inherent healing ability which mends her ailments relatively quickly. This cannot be transferred to others, but she can (and does) use it to great effect, when taking the injuries from another.

Background:Ever since she was a very young child, Leah has had a deal of... awareness. Suffering, anger, depression... she'd sensed it all from her (Quite dysfunctional) family. When she witnessed a dog struck by a car at the age of eight, her emotional powers culminated as it's tiny emotions flooded her naive brain. Running to the dog, sobbing, the diminutive redhead clutched the crippled canine, muttering soothing phrases.
She felt its pain. And let it come.
She felt its death. And let it come.
Cuts spread over her entire body, and half of her ribs shattered, mending the dog's. Bruises, fear, broken bones and broken souls... they shared it. And from then on, she's been open about her healing abilities.

Unfortunately, humanity wasn't so much in agreement with her use of her psychic empathy. When she tried to help people who didn't want the help, even to comfort them, she frequently got rebuked. This incident also incited her father to register her as a 'Meta', always in search of more ways to get government money to drink away. Of course, this did little for him but get his daughter ridiculed, and Leah's mother soon divorced her father and took the two of them to live somewhere small...
Personality: Generally, she's fairly open and talkative, and wears her emotions fairly openly. She is ALWAYS ready, willing, and able to help someone, physically or emotionally.
Appearance: A tall, willowy girl with LONG red hair, braided into three to nine ponytails to around the middle of her back. For special events, she wears emerald-colored makeup and clothing to accentuate this, and her like-colored eyes. Usually, however, she wears more commonplace things, opting for jeans and a slightly-conservative, tan blouse on this particular day. Her skin is somewhat tan-colored.
