Page 451

Ann's House

After Rose, Eshli and Lora finish watching the moving, the latter suggets getting some cookies.

The Rex

Sage deals the cards fot the first hand of poker. Card are examined and bets are made.
Squato brings drinks in for everyone.

Page 452

The Rex

Ann, having folded, decides to help Lomgren, as he's never played before.
The game continues. Now the first four communal cards are showing and Squato has also folded.

Page 453

The Rex

The remaining players check, except John, who folds. Sage flips the final card.
Lomgren folds, then orders a tuna sandwich. Ann asks for one too, plus another whiskey.

Outside the Rex

The Midnight Stalker that Stalks at Midnight watches the poker game through a pair of binoculars.

The Rex

Everyone makes their final bets, then reveal their cards. Eithero won with 3 of a kind.
However, confuses arrives due to Likal's inexperience, so John gives him a quick rundown on what hand beats what.
A few more hands are then played, with players dropping out until only Squato, John and Eithero are left. Eventually, John & Eithero decide to leave.
Lomgren drinks another random soda. Unfortunately, this one turns out to be a shrink soda. One that doesn't effect his clothes.
Lomgren finally finishes shrinking at about 6 inches. The others discuss what to do about this.

Park Bench

Nonah starts to wake up. She notices Freek is still next to her.
Knave returns through a dimensional rift, a few feet from Nonah's bench.

Ann's House

Rose, Lora and Eshli watch another movie over milk and cookies.
After the movie, the discussion turns to the upcoming wedding.

The Rex

Squato tells the staff to get him a pillow.
Sage conjures up a chicken sized walker for Lomgren, but the catman says he wants Ann to carry him instead. However, Ann isn't confinent that she won't hurt him by accident.
Lomgren's pillow arrives and Vixa comes to look.
Aura rolls off the couch she was sleeping on.

Outside the Rex

Aurora walks into the door, forgetting that she has a body now.

Park Bench

Knave shakes Freek and Nonah awake.
Nonah suggests going home as Knave walks off.

Ann's House

The conversation turns esoteric, which blows Lora's brain.

The Rex

Squato gives Lomgren a paper towel to wrap round himself.

Park Bench

Freek says he would rather stay on the bench with Nonah.
Nonah suggests her home at the lake would be more cosy, but Freek can't breath underwater. They then decide on Freek's house and get up and go.

The Grim Residence

Nonah and Freek arrive and head straight for bed.

Ann's House

Eshli asks if there's any food. Lora is aghast, as Eshli had just had cookies.
Eshli points out that she's technically 11.
Eshli asks Rose if there's any food? Lora wonders if she ate that much as a kid, but can't remember.

JJA's House

JJA and Eithero arrive and go to bed. Separately.

Anne's House

Rose gets some cheese and crackers for Eshli.

The Rex

Likal asks why Lomgren just shrunk. Squato tells him it was the soda.

Outside the Rex

Aurora knocks on the door.

Anne's House

The conversation turns to children and babies.
Rose starts talking about the stories her father told her, which soon turns to her past, at which point she gets defensive.

Outside the Rex

The door is opened by one of the staff, who points out it wasn't locked.

The Rex

Ann says she worried about squishing Lomgren if she took him home and ask Sage if he can help.
Sage offers Lomgren a Ring of Protection to use as a necklace.
Aurora enters and offers to carry Lomgren. Ann starts, as she's still bothered by Aurora's appearance.
Lomgren declines Aurora's offer, as she Death!
Sage hands Lomgren the ring. He puts it on.
Aurora offers to help Ann home while she carries Lomgren, as the General is drunk.

Ann's House

After being convinced that Lora isn't a spy for Mr Big, Rose reveals she's Kraggi's daughter, thus spent her childhood in the Temple of Sanje.
Eshli then mentions her childhood, in a secret military base, and how that her mum died in childbirth.
Everyone starts getting teary.
Rose offers to get Knave to look for Eshli's mum. Eshli is grateful and gives Rose a hug.
Rose notices the time and asks if the others are staying. Eshli asks for the couch, while Lora asks takes the spare room.

The Rex

Lomgren tells Ann he's ready to go when she is.

Ann's House

Rose tells Lora where the spare room is, then asks how she got her tower.

The Rex

Ann carefully picks up Lomgren, with Aurora helping to steady the drunk general.
Sage gives Ann a pill to help with tomorrows hangover, then teleports home.
Taking a moment to steady herself, Ann leaves with Lomgren.
