Zeek is the Demonic Gopher leader, and [[Demonic Gophers|DG]]'s primary character.  He usually looks much like any other gopher, though with somewhat darker fur than average.

Zeek is Deep Warlord of [[The Tunnels]], a title that has a fairly precise meaning among Demonic Gophers.  A Warlord must be a skilled tactician, an inspiring leader (by DG standards), and a lethal fighter in his or her own right.  Most favor the blade in combat, when such is reasonable, but possess considerable talent with ranged weapons and magic as well.  Zeek is the Deep Warlord - the most important and powerful of those who have earned the title - partly because of his exceptional abilities and partly because of his history.

Zeek is also the theoretical Supreme Demonic Gopher Leader, although in practice most of the decisions are made by his advisers and the DG legislature.  Zeek has the final say unless contradicted by three quarters of the legislature, but he has enough sense to recognize and listen to those more knowledgeable about a given subject than himself.  This is part of the reason he is the leader.  He is also quite intelligent, and capable of effective long term planning when he chooses to exercise that skill.  Finally, his apparent immortality and authority as Deep Warlord and legendary hero can help to counter the disrespect for the concept of government that comes naturally to many of the wild and chaotic Demonic Gophers.

Zeek's loyalties lie first and foremost with his people.  Second are the Rodent Alliance, which he helped to found and has defended and promoted with endless determination, and his religion.  Zeek is known to be a fervent worshiper of the Mods, especially Reploid Productions, the famed Ninja Mod.  ((This, like much of Demonic Gopher history, is a reference to NationStates)).  It is difficult to predict what would happen if these two loyalties were ever to come into conflict.

Since his arrival on the EGS forums, Zeek has become a firm supporter of the Bunnies and the [[EGS Defence Force]], to the extent that even the prospect of advancing the power of his beloved R.A. would be unlikely to sway him.

Zeek is generally eager for a fight, and virtually without mercy for his enemies.  He has sacrificed captives by torture without regret in the name of religion, and would not hesitate to threaten the same, and even carry out the threat, if he felt that practical concerns warranted such actions.  Indeed, he would approach the prospect with enthusiasm that is only partly show.  He uses chemical warfare without the slightest hesitation, is open to the idea of nuclear weapons, and rejects biological weaponry only because it is too difficult to control.  He is also responsible for the country-crushing DEAT Cannons carried by each DG dreadnought.  He has also been known to advocate open imperialism upon occasion.

On the other hand, Zeek has often thrown himself into the fray to protect freedom and individual rights, as well as helping small, peaceful nations against unprovoked attack.  While hardly a part of the Forces of Light, he does have a great deal of respect for those who seek only to live in peace and help their fellow sentient beings.  Zeek is a firm and determined opponent of slavery in all its forms.  He is contemptuous of those who torment the weak and defenseless while avoiding or pandering to the strong.  He is extremely loyal to friends and allies, and generally quite accepting of differences.  He has a firm sense of honor and is usually very honest, although this varies and he will set aside such matters if he decides it is necessary to achieve some especially important goal.
