Clothing wise, Luther dresses well, but not ostentatiously. He wardrobe mostly consists of fine, fitted suits of various types, so he'll generally have the right thing to wear for any occasion. Also, other then a Rolex, he avoids jewellery & other such displays of wealth. Why, because he is keenly aware of how other people see him, so models his appearance for the best effect.

Some definite Sue-like tendancies here. A little polishing might be in order to put original fiction and RPG characters back into the balance, especially if Kirking is involved. Fanfiction characters should probably have some work done.

Brief Description

Luther is my character for VOR's Villain's RP. He basically a telepathic Lex Luther as he appeared in Louis & Clark, with a few changes. For example, he's a corporate raider instead of a CEO. Also, compared to some of the other PCs in the game, he's very underpowered.

Physical Description

Luther is 5'11" with an athletic, well toned physique. Attractive, but not excessively so, nonetheless he is good-looking enough to be an actor, if not a model. He's also bald, unashamedly so, with baby blue eyes. He generally has an attractive tan, too.

Personality

Luther is a walking poster boy for the Yuppie way of life. He even has respect for the Iron Lady & would have voted for her if was British. As is, he's a 'loyal' Republican & major proponent of the free market.

Luther's motivation is simple. He wants the best in life & doesn't care how he gets it or who he hurts in the process. Every single act he performs & decision he makes is done to benefit himself in the most efficient way possible, whether long term or short term. He doesn't have a charitable bone in his body & considers such things in other people to be weakness. The rules are for those to stupid or weak to get round them. He's also Genre Savvy enough to keep enough out of the limelight/within the law to avoid persecution from authorities/heroes. He also isn't adverse to using the law as a tool when convenient.

However, he has limits. Luther doesn't like to get his hands dirty in any actual killings/beatings, etc. This isn't due to conscious, just screamishness. He also doesn't like witnesses such things first hand & is a bit of a coward. Finally, he's somewhat paranoid about the motivations of others & can't trust anyone that he can't read. He would still work with them if it was profitable, but will keep them at arms length.

Powers

His main power is mind reading. He hears the surface thoughts of those around him as easily as he hears the words out of their mouths. This originally caused him problems, but he has since learned to filter out & control the ability. It works up to his normal hearing range. Think Matt Parkman from Heroes.

He can also probe the recesses of some ones mind. This however requires time & either physical or eye-to-eye contact. Also, the victim feels like they are being violated & is aware of who's doing it.

He also has limited mind-control. However, it has the same restrictions as above & is no more potent than hypnosis, ie, he can't make them do anything that they REALLY don't want to.

Physically, he's in top condition. 20-20 vision, healthy, athletic, etc. He's not excessively strong or agile, he's just a good all-round specimen. Though he has to work at maintaining his condition, it doesn't come to hard for him.
