Description

• Height: 40" tall
• Length: 50" long
• Wingspan: 145" (12.08') long
• Weight: 3 lbs.

Its huge wings allows it to glide over the vast rivers. It is unusual because its the only bird ever to live that has six toes. Despite looking like a hybrid, its not.

Breeding colours

• Upper mandible: Black
• Lower mandible: Yellow
• Face: Orange face 'mask'
• Head: Bluish grey
• Wings: Orange
• Feet: A bright yellowish orange
• Legs: black

During the breeding season it has yellow plumes on its chin, back of the neck and breast.

• NOTE: Females are duller than males.

Nonbreeding colours

Pretty much the same, but duller and lacks yellow plumes.
