The Six-Toed Grey Heron (Ardea sextdaktylos) is probably one of the most unique species of birds.

Description
- Height: 40" tall
- Length: 50" long
- Wingspan: 145" (12.08') long
- Weight: 3 lbs.
Its huge wings allows it to glide over the vast rivers. It is unusual because its the only bird ever to live that has six toes. Despite looking like a hybrid, its not.
Breeding colours
- Upper mandible: Black
- Lower mandible: Yellow
- Face: Orange face 'mask'
- Head: Bluish grey
- Wings: Orange
- Feet: A bright yellowish orange
- Legs: black
During the breeding season it has yellow plumes on its chin, back of the neck and breast.
- NOTE: Females are duller than males.
Nonbreeding colours
Pretty much the same, but duller and lacks yellow plumes.
