The mayor looks surprised. "Well, that's highly irregular. What do you want with that creature?"

"He's not like the other creatures in the labyrinth," you sat. "He's nice. He doesn't belong in there."

"Of course he belongs in there," the mayor says. "Just look at him; he's a monster. Whatever he told you, just forget it. Those creatures are always trying to escape, and they'll try any trick they can to fool innocent adventurers. Now, come--let's get you dressed. The town is preparing a festival to celebrate your return."
