You know the pain your wife went through in school with bullying and don't think it would be fair to force another human to go through that pain. You tell your wife and she agrees. Your daughter is born and you name her Roberta. She smiles when you say her name and you and your wife know this was the right choice. You keep your job as a waiter and take a bar tending job on the side to allow Yancy to stay at home with Roberta. You don't make a ton of money, but you make a comfortable amount to raise your child and support your wife. The years past and soon she is in school and excelling. She is constantly having play dates and the teachers praise her work. She graduates as the valedictorian of her high school and makes moving speech at graduation. She goes on to a nice college studying law. She becomes a high class lawyer and becomes a millionaire by the time she is 28. She lets you retire and pays your bills and expenses. You and Yancy could not be more proud.

Roberta meets a guy named Adam and marries him. She is pregnant and contemplating baby names. She seeks your and your wife's advice and considers naming her child Yancy if it is a girl.

Both you and Yancy shout, "NO!!!"

It becomes your duty in life to ensure no children ever receive the name Yancy. So far you and your wife have successfully talked ten couples out of naming their daughters this horrific name. Hopefully, after your death your daughter will continue your legacy. You die at the age of 90, and your daughter and continue to be advocates against the name Yancy.
