Stay put and expect the worst
From Create Your Own Story
You remember that the best thing to do in a Tornado Warning is to get to a safe spot.
You run to get a canteen of water from the fridge and rush down to your concrete lined basement. You get to a corner away from your farm tools and crouch down with your hands over your head.
About two minutes later the house starts shaking like a washing machine. Bangs and crashes echo into the basement. You wonder if you really did the right thing. Was it wise to stay in the path of a tornado? Sighing, you prepare for your life to end. But then the shaking stops. You wait for about fifteen minutes and then slowly creep upstairs. Your house is a mess.
The refrigerator is in the living room and your couch is in the kitchen. Your bedroom now has three walls instead of four. There are numerous holes in the roof. But you are alive. And later, when you help your Mom and Dad clean up their shop in town, you will thank yourself for remembering the correct procedure for dealing with a twister.
