With a deep breath, you take a running start and leap into the water. You get about sixty yards when you realize that none of your Pokemon know Surf. You start panicking and splashing around and eventually you begin to sink under the waves. The next thing you know, you feel something pulling you back to shore. You are thrown up onto the sandy beach and you start breathing air again. You look up and an old man looks back at you. Obviously he was the one who saved you. After you get over the shock, it occurs to you how strange it is that this old man could swim all the way out to you and drag you back in so quickly, but since you're lucky he did, you figure it doesn't matter.
"Are you alright?" He asks. You nod. "You should stay out of the water until you know Surf, it's too dangerous to swim in. Now, I need to go home to check on my daughter. Be careful," He warns and leaves. You lie on the beach for a couple minutes to rest, and then decide to move on.
