You walk over to the dark red brick after dropping the towel on the floor, trying to avoid the glass while you get close enough to pick it up. However, you aren't as nimble as you would like to be and feel a piece of glass bite in the sole of your left foot as you step down on it. You quickly snatch the brick and scurry off the glass shards. You sit down on the carpet and check your foot - you're bleeding but the glass didn't stick and it is a fairly small cut - you'll live.
You wipe what blood had gotten on your hands from your foot on your pants, then pull the elastic band off the paper and unfold it:
"Can you swim?"
It is written in blue pen. You wonder what it could mean, when your ears pick up the sound of rushing water. It sounds like it is coming from the outside somewhere and getting closer...
You:
- Go look out the window, one that isn't broken.
- Leave your apartment quickly, that can't be a good sound.
