You silently make your way upstairs before dropping to all-fours by the bathroom door. The hole was really small but you could see a silhouette in a shower. The wood on the edges of the hole looked rotten. If you work carefully you should be able to widen it, but you'll need something to sick it through. You got up and went to your room where you found a screwdriver. This should be perfect. You came back to the door, looked through the hole again to confirm your mom was still in the shower. Everything was perfect - the noise of the running shower should silence the scratching and then you should be able to pull a few chunks of wood off to get a better view.
After a while of whittling you managed to widen the hole to about the size of your finger. This gave you a pretty decent view, but if you keep working you should be able to widen it a little bit more - that would allow you to have a perfect view.
