This is embarrassing. My top is see-through from up close and this whole dress is too flimsy. I wonder what Darren will say.
I go back to Darren, and he looks at me. "Are you kidding me? That looks like something you'd wear to the beach. Well, at least it looks like it's about to fall off. With a body like yours, you won't go unnoticed."
I roll my eyes, and Darren looks amused by my frustration. "You can go now. I'll text you the shopping list. Have fun."
After a short taxi ride, I arrive at the supermarket of Darren's choice.
This is going to be worse than I anticipated.
As I walk through the aisles, a mother tries to shield her child's eyes. Two of the men stare at my legs unapologetically. One of them even drops the box of rice he was carrying, gaping as I walk by.
I'm going to kill Darren!
Looking at his list, I bend down to grab something from the bottom of the shelf. When I do so, I hear someone whistling from behind me. I turn around, furious, but the man is already hurrying away.
Coward!
Moving on to the second item on Darren's list, I walk to the fruit section. I start going through the bananas on display, choosing which ones to buy... Suddenly, that same shopper who whistled at me earlier approaches me. "Hey, gorgeous. The names John. I have a banana too, and it's getting hard."
What a sleazy pick-up line!
