You take a second to come up with a suitable line, then slide into the booth across from her. "Hey gorgeous," you greet, "I seem to have lost my phone number. Can I have yours?"
She looks up from her phone with raised eyebrows and the beginning of a sneer. "I have more important things to do than put up with annoying lowlife." She snaps.
"Well, it's a good thing I'm not an annoying lowlife." You laugh it off, but feel a bit dejected. Perhaps you should pick a different target?
