Freeze and make something up

You try to lie your way out of this, but your brain isn't cooperating. "I, um, I-" you stammer, freezing up as the angry cat's claws slide out.
"Longclaw!" A she-cat calls. "I'm sure she was just being a kit. Let her go back to sleep."
"Her brothers are good kits. She probably won't make it past leafbare, with her size." The tom growls before padding off. You turn towards the other cat.
"I'm Silverstar." She greets you. "You should go back to sleep, Bluekit. It's too late for kits to be up."
You glare at her for a mement before padding off to the nursery. Once there, you do start to feel a bit drowsy...
