Volunteer to guard the window

"I'll guard the window," you say.
"Thanks, Marina," says Jack. He looks over at his wife. "You ready?"
"Yes." Holly turns to you. "Stay safe, Marina. We'll be back as soon as we can."
You take a deep breath as they disappear through the bushes. Suddenly, it feels incredibly lonely, and you shudder. You find yourself thinking about one of the zombie movies you filmed, in which your character was left alone and got ambushed by zombies. You try to snap yourself out of it. "Movies are not the same as real life. But then again, everyone thought zombies were fiction until the apocalypse happened for real..."
"Dammit, get ahold of yourself, Marina," you say out loud. You check your pistol, making sure the safety is off.
Rustling comes from the bushes. "Holly? Jack?" you call out hopefully.
The vicious snarls that come in response leave no doubt as to who it really is. You take aim with your gun.
They burst out from the bushes, zombies, about fifteen of them. You go to work with your pistol. Ten shots, ten dead zombies. The gun clicks empty. The surviving zombies are still charging you.
